NEW JOBS

>> D. Taylor Boyd has been hired as neighbor islands community partnerships coordinator by the American Lung Association. She will oversee the development and maintenance of working relationships between the Lung Association and various community organizations. She spent the past five years as a student life director at Hawaii Pacific University.

>> Oceanic, Time Warner Cable of Hawaii has hired Jon Eto as business development manager. He will be responsible for upgrading commercial properties throughout the state for cable and Internet services. Eto was most recently a consultant for Oceanic. 

RECOGNITION

>> Douglas Q. L. Yee has won the American Lung Association's excellence award for innovative team projects. Yee, a financial consultant with Morgan Stanley Dean Whitter in Honolulu, is president of the American Lung Association of Hawaii. He was given the award for his efforts to bring medical research funding to Hawaii through the National Institutes of Health. Lt. Governor Mazie Hirono and Leslie S. Isaki of the John A. Burns School of Medicine nominated Yee for the award.

>> Saxton W. Barrett, an Edward Jones investment representative of Honolulu-Diamond Head, recently received the company's Regional Leader's Award. He was recognized for outstanding sales and service efforts over the past year.

PROMOTIONS

>> ADWorks Inc. has promoted Robyn Moriyama to the position of vice president of account service. She will serve as a key contact person for the agency's AT&T Wireless, HawaiianMiles MasterCard, Koolau Catering, Tyson Foods, Island Insurance, Dole Plantation and WDI International Inc. accounts.

Moriyama also will serve on the agency's management committee, participating in new business presentations and hiring account service staff.
