Health department offers
free TB tests for students

The state Department of Health is offering free tuberculosis tests for students. State law requires students to get a one-time TB clearance within one year of entering preschool or kindergarten through 12th grade.

TB clearance may be obtained through the Health Department's TB Control Program and Public Health Nursing clinics at the following locations. A picture I.D. is required and children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Oahu

>> Temporary clinic at Dillingham Shopping Plaza, 1505 Dillingham Blvd., Suite 214, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:45 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. No appointment needed.
>> Diamond Head Health Center, 3627 Kilauea Ave., Room 302, Tuesdays, 1-3 p.m.
>> Leeward Health Center in Pearl City, 960 Fourth St., Room 127, Wednesdays, 2-3 p.m.
>> Wahiawa PHN Office, 910 California Ave., Room 119, Mondays, 2-4 p.m.
>> Waipahu Civic Center, 94-275 Mokuola St., Room 101, Wednesdays, 2-4 p.m.

>> Waiakea Health Center, 191 Kuawa St., Mondays, 1-2 p.m. If Monday is a holiday, then open on Tuesday.

>> Kona Health Center, 79-1015 Haukapila St., Fridays, 2-4 p.m.
