Alzheimer’s group does
the charity tango

MORE than 500 people are expected to attend tonight's Latin-flavored fund-raiser for the Alzheimer's Association, "Moonlight and Magic." There'll be live tango performances during dinner and more than 250 items will be up for bid in a silent auction according to event chairman Paul Brown. That works out to an average of two items per guest, so they're hoping people are in a mood to buy for a good cause. The Association's new spokesperson is 1995 Miss Hawaii Traci Toguchi, and we hear she's eyeballing a Planet Hollywood jacket signed by Bruce Willis. Or if you want a sprightly dinner companion, you can bid on dinner for two and a consultation (over dinner, I presume) with certified sex therapist Dr. Diana Wiley. They're hoping it'll be a night to remember and benefit those who no longer can ...

ACTOR Bruce Willis has ended filming of his Hawaii-based movie, and hard on his heels may be action picture star Chuck Norris. He and his brother Aaron, a stunt coordinator, have been in town scouting a potential new-series site. From "Walker, Texas Ranger," to something a bit more localized. The Norris brothers enjoyed dinner at Nick's Fishmarket, and were spotted dining at Roy's in Hawaii Kai where they were hosted by the Hawaii Film and Big Island Film Offices and a company called Hawaii Filmwerks ...

He's married to Dr. Patricia Lorenzo, whom Tamura had earlier interviewed on being named a researcher for the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii, another Bright Light client. She put it together after realizing not everyone who comes to Hawaii does so from Argentina by way of Washington D.C., as they both did ...

Clockwork Lemon

IT'LL be "Rock Around the Clock" for perhaps the last time on July 3. Restaurant Row, which featured the most disgusting clock I'd ever seen which developer Alan Beall loved, much like an ugly baby, after spotting it an the Vancouver Expo. The Row is having a party on the plaza beginning at 11:30 a.m. with free hot dogs, shave ice, popcorn and cotton candy for those in attendance. The clock is (finally) going bye-bye as part of renovation plans soon to commence in hopes of attracting some new eateries to fill empty spaces. Some restaurants are doing great while others around them are closing ...
