Chicken Challenge on the Strip
Aztar Corp. has brought its "Chicken Challenge" to the Las Vegas Strip.The game at the Tropicana hotel-casino features a live chicken that competes with gamblers at tic-tac-toe. Gamblers who join the casino's slot club can play one game of tic-tac-toe per day against a chicken named "Ginger."
Anyone who beats the chicken wins $10,000. Only five winners have claimed the prize.

Hoover Dam walkway may be on the way
Crews have concluded preliminary engineering studies on the Hoover Dam bypass bridge, which will be less than a half-mile downstream from the dam.A pedestrian walkway has also been added to the design.
"The public stated emphatically they wanted a pedestrian walkway so that visitors could enjoy that magnificent view," said Dave Zanetell, a Federal Highway Administration engineer and project manager.
Officials estimate the project will cost $231 million and be completed in 2007.
