The following is a preview of movies opening this weekend that runs every Tuesday in the Star-Bulletin:
"Enigma" >> Like "Windtalkers," this is another World War II drama about a secret code. This time, cryptoanalysts at Britain's code-breaking center have discovered that Germans have changed their Enigma Code. Authorities enlist a brilliant young man (Dougray Scott) to help them break the code again. With the possibility of a spy within their ranks, a character played by Kate Winslet is recruited to investigate, discovering personal and international betrayals (R).
"Juwanna Mann" >> When a brash-talking professional basketball player (Miguel Nuñez of "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps") gets thrown out of the league, he decides to play in drag in the WNBA when he gets financially strapped. Of course, he falls for his team's beautiful captain, played by Vivica A. Fox (PG-13).
"Lilo & Stitch" >> Disney is hoping that this unconventional animated feature will bring a needed rebound to the studio after last year's weak "Atlantis." A lonely girl on Kauai adopts what she thinks is a small, ugly "dog," which is actually the galaxy's most wanted extraterrestrial, a genetic experiment that escaped from an alien planet (PG).
"Minority Report" >> Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg collaborate on this sci-fi action thriller where, in a future Washington, D.C., a law-enforcement agency can anticipate homicides, and gung-ho cops (including Cruise) bust would-be murderers. Cruise's character gets accused of a future murder (PG-13).
