dbarayuga@starbulletin.comAlfred Robert Gross, 67, a vice president at First Hawaiian Bank, was charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault and four counts of third-degree sexual assault on the girl. She is a friend of his wife.
His wife had invited the girl to their Honolulu Tower condo at 60 N. Beretania St. on June 6 to do housework for pay, police Detective Woletta Kim said in a court affidavit.
The police affidavit gave the following account of the alleged assault: Upon the girl's arrival at the condo, a conversation led to the wife suggesting to the girl that they dance together. The two were dancing when Gross arrived home. After the woman and girl danced, the girl made her way around the condo and walked into the bedroom.
Gross then followed her inside and sexually assaulted her. He left after a few minutes without saying a word.
The girl pointed Gross out to police in a photo lineup later that evening, police said. Gross was arrested June 7 and he posted a $25,000 bond.
State deputy sheriffs served him with the grand jury warrant yesterday, processed and released him. His Circuit Court arraignment is expected in the upcoming weeks, said Deputy Prosecutor Myron Takemoto.
Gross and his attorney could not be reached for comment.
