Gladys Yuriko Adaniya, 62, of Honolulu, a retired masseuse, died last Thursday in Kuakini Medical Center. She was born on Maui. She is survived by daughter Jonni, brother Donald, sister Jeanette Lee, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services: 5:30 p.m. Friday at Kalihi Union Church. Casual attire. Daniel Keawepo'ole Aka, 58, of Merced, Calif., a plant manager at Builders Concrete, died Tuesday in California. He was born in Honolulu. There are no known survivors. Services on the mainland.

Sarah Charman Alani, 89, of Kapaa, Kauai, a homemaker, died Friday in Mahelona Hospital. She was born in Koloa, Kauai. She is survived by sister Elizabeth Nakahira and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Borthwick Mortuary in Koloa. Call after 9 a.m. Casual attire.

Angeline Amarino, 88, of Honolulu died Saturday. She was born in Wailuku. She is survived by daughters Shirley Stokmanis, Patricia Boranian, Pearl Wade, Pauline Matias, Priscilla Amarino, Gloria King and Peggy Amaral; son Thomas Amarino; brothers Samuel Akui and Henry and Jake Raposa; sisters Agnes Daniluck and Elizabeth Puulie; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Stanley Seichi Higa, 69, of Pearl City, a retired computer technician for Astronautics Corp., died Sunday in Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi. He was born in Honolulu. Donald Eldon Hupp, 84, of Hilo, a salesman for the Airliquide Co., died Monday at Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Washington state. She is survived by husband Katsuyuki, son Dennis, daughter Ann Miyamoto, brother George Ito, sisters Tomoe Saiki and Doris Miyasaki, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The Rev. Harry Shigeo Komuro, 92, of Honolulu, a retired minister of the United Methodist Church, died Tuesday. He was born in California. Philippine "Grandma Needs" Needs, 83, of Waimanalo, a retired nurse, died May 23 at home. She was born in Germany. He is survived by wife Miyoko, son Dale, daughter Toni A. Shimasaki, brothers Alfred and Gilbert, sisters Liz DeJesus and Shirlene Rayoan, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. George Rodillas, 73, of Hayward, Calif., formerly of Hilo, a retired employee for Gerber Baby Food Co. and a member of the U.S. Air Force, died April 14 in Kaiser Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Dolores; son Sherwood; daughters Deborah G. Rodillas and Gwendolyn Silva; brothers Charles, Herbert, Francis, Nicholas, Algrino, Julius, Alexander, August and Norbert; sisters Nilda Chock, Harolding Kronenberger, Frances Allen and Jocelyn Mitchell; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Francis Thomas Souza, 61, of Wahiawa, an employee with Med-Quest for the state Department of Human Services, died Monday in Wahiawa General Hospital. He was born in Kalaheo, Kauai. He is survived by wife Alberta, sons Graig and John, daughter Anna Bukoski, mother Mary, brother Joe, sisters Sister Grace M. and Sister Joan Souza, and eight grandchildren. Joseph "Joe" Vitale, 77, of Lahaina, a retired warehouse supervisor at Pacific Gas & Electric, died Tuesday at home. He was born in Boston. He is survived by wife Dorothy; sons Joseph T. and Timothy C.; brothers Leo, John, Sal and Dante; sisters Virginia Bechthold, Rose McCormick, Gloria Bennett and Florence Weng; and a grandchild. A memorial service will be held in Lahaina at a later date. No flowers. Donations suggested to Lahaina Baptist Church.
