Feed the sharks
Guests at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa at Ko Olina in Leeward Oahu can help feed the 4-6-foot sharks that inhabit the resort's saltwater Hawaiian ponds.The resort has partnered with Pacific Ecological Systems, Inc., to provide guests with an opportunity to learn more about sea creatures such as stingrays, starfish, sea urchins and sea cucumbers.
PES staffers will guide visitors through the feeding of black-tip reef sharks, scallop hammerheads and Galapagos sharks at 10 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
A Sea-Fari program is also offered daily at 10:30 a.m., with an opportunity to wade into shallow ponds, assist in finding marine creatures and learn more about their life and habitat along the pond edge.
Make reservations through the concierge desk. Keiki must be a minimum of 40 inches tall, and those under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must sign a waiver, be dressed in swimwear and no suntan lotion.

Join Hyatt 'Club'
Hyatt Resorts Hawaii is inviting kama'aina to join The Club, a program that allows members to receive discounts.A $185 card can be used for discounts on food and rooms at the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa on Maui, Kauai and in Waikiki, including a certificate for 75 percent off published rack rates for a room for one night, and six certificates for 50 percent off published rack rates for up to three consecutive nights.
When dining with a guest, a club member may deduct 50 percent from the food portion of the meal. A third of the food portion of the meal may be discounted for a party of three, and 25 percent for a party of four. Dining discounts are allowed for up to 15 meals.
The card also offers discounts on banquet functions, spa activities and air travel on Aloha Airlines.
