Agbayani to Triple-A
for rehab assignment

DENVER >> The Colorado Rockies sent outfielder Benny Agbayani and right-hander Shawn Chacon to Triple-A Colorado Springs yesterday for injury rehabs.

Agbayani, a former St. Louis School and Hawaii Pacific standout who has been on the disabled list with a strained right hamstring since May 13, took batting practice yesterday and was expected to play today when the Sky Sox host Salt Lake.

Chacon went on the disabled list May 9 with a strained pectoral muscle after going 3-4 with a 5.03 ERA. He was expected to pitch tomorrow.
