The Department of Transportation has announced the following H-1 and Kalanianaole Highway closures for Tuesday through Friday: Roadwork on H-1 will

>> One lane of the H-1 freeway Punahou Street offramp may be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for guardrail and overhead sign work from Tuesday through Friday. The Piikoi Street onramp to the H-1 freeway eastbound may also be closed during this time.
>> The Piikoi Street onramp to the H-1 freeway in the Koko Head-bound direction and one lane of the H-1 freeway near the Keeaumoku Street overpass will be closed on Tuesday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sign work.
>> One lane of Kalanianaole Highway will be closed in the Koko Head-bound direction between Wailupe Circle and West Hind Drive on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for waterline work.
>> One lane of Kalanianaole Highway will be closed in the Koko Head-bound direction between Kaimoku Place and Waa Street on Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for waterline work.
>> The two left lanes of the H-1 freeway in the westbound direction between the airport viaduct and the H-1 freeway-Moanalua Freeway merge will be closed on Tuesday from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. to replace Ziplane concrete barriers. Normal Ziplane commuting will not be affected by the closure.
Also, the Board of Water Supply will close the left lane of Kalanianaole Highway from Kalaniiki to Laukahi streets in the town-bound direction Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for waterline valve testing.
Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra commuting time or take alternate routes, transportation officials have said.
