Tiger back to Kauai for
sixth straight year

From staff and wire services

Tiger Woods, who won his third green jacket at this year's Masters, achieved yet another record in his eight-year professional career by earning his sixth invitation to the PGA Grand Slam of Golf to be held Nov. 26-27 at the Poipu Bay Golf Course on Kauai.

He is the first to qualify for this year's two-day event, which brings together the winners of the PGA's four major championships this year.

Woods has won the past four Grand Slam titles.

Tickets are available by calling 1-800-742-8258.

Jennie K. tourney starts May 17

The Mid-Pacific Country Club will be the site for the three-day 52nd Jennie K. Wilson Women's Invitational, which starts May 17.

Michelle Wie, who captured the prestigious trophy last year at the age of 11, will not defend her title. The 12-year-old will be in South Carolina that weekend playing in the Asahi Ryokuken International. She was awarded a sponsor's exemption last month.

For more information on the Jennie K., call Kathy Ordway at 262-2428.
