The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists of the following closures along the H-1 freeway from Monday through Friday: DOT warns motorists

>> The left lane of H-1 in the Ewa-bound direction will be closed from the Waikele Stream Bridge to the Kunia Interchange from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to remove sand barrels from the median area.
>> The Piikoi Street onramp to H-1 freeway in the Koko Head-bound direction and one lane of H-1 near the Keeaumoku Street overpass will be closed Tuesday to Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for overhead sign work. An additional lane in the Koko Head-bound direction will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m.
>> One lane of the H-1 Punahou Street offramp may be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for guardrail and overhead sign work. The Piikoi Street onramp also may be closed at this time.
In addition:
>> The right lane of Kamehameha Highway in the Ewa-bound direction will be closed Wednesday and Thursday near the Pearlridge branch of American Savings Bank for sidewalk construction work.
>> One lane of Waialae Avenue from the Ewa- and Koko Head-bound directions will be closed from 17th Avenue to 21st Avenue and from Kealaolu Avenue to Ainakoa Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for traffic signal work.
>> Two Ewa-bound lanes of Kalanianaole Highway will be closed between Nenue Street and Waa Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for resurfacing work. During this time, one Koko Head-bound lane will be contraflowed to give drivers two Ewa-bound lanes. Left turns will be prohibited onto Nenue Street, West Hind Drive, Wailupe Circle, Kaai Street and Waa Street. U-turns will be allowed at East Hind Drive and Analii Street during the contra-flow time.
>> One lane of Kalanianaole Highway in the Koko Head-bound direction will be closed between Ainakoa Avenue and Laukahi Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for waterline work.
