A&B sells Colorado
shopping center

Star-Bulletin Staff

Alexander & Baldwin Inc. said yesterday it has sold a 43,000-square-feet shopping center in Colorado for an undisclosed price.

A&B subsidiaries acquired the Market Square Shopping Center in Greeley, Colo., in 1995. It was sold to a company in Aspen.

Allen Doane, A&B president and chief executive officer, said the property had been a good investment for the company, with occupancy averaging 98 percent through the six years of its ownership.

A&B's real estate portfolio after the sale consists of 17 properties on the mainland and 26 properties on Maui, Kauai and Oahu. The company's income property portfolio has 3 million square feet of leasable space on the mainland and 1.5 million square feet in Hawaii.
