The city prosecutor's office is asking the court to hold without bail a 23-year-old Kailua man accused of strangling a 37-year-old Kapahulu woman and gunning down a 40-year-old man.

The motion filed in Circuit Court yesterday details the circumstances surrounding the murders and reveals that Jason Perry tried to have a sexual relationship with Tracey Tominaga, to whom Perry supplied methamphetamine.

Perry was charged April 23 with second-degree murder in the deaths of Edward Fuller and Tominaga.

But Tominaga, who had a boyfriend, told Perry repeatedly she was not interested in him, Deputy Prosecutor Chris Van Marter said in court documents. On Jan. 18, she called Perry to her Kapahulu house, and asked a friend to come, too, and to bring a shotgun, Van Marter said. The friend pointed the shotgun in Perry's face and warned him not to pursue Tominaga in a sexual way and to apologize for the incident and demanded he give her any drugs he had on him, Van Marter said, and Perry complied.

On Jan. 21, Perry found Tominaga at home and tricked her into riding with him to Makakilo, Van Marter said. Five men punched, slapped, kicked and stomped her for about 30 minutes to find out the name of the friend who confronted Perry.

Perry handcuffed her and taped her face, then strangled her, Van Marter said. Her body was wrapped in a tarp, carried down the mountain and buried in a ravine.

In the following days, Fuller was told about the killing, Van Marter said, and when Perry found out, he shot Fuller five times, the last shot at point-blank range to the back of his head.
