He is the first to qualify for the two-day event, which brings together the winners of the PGA's four major championships this year.
Woods has won four straight Grand Slam titles (1998-2001), the most of any major champion in the year-end showcase event. He was runner-up to Ernie Els in his 1997debut.

2002 Hawaii Junior World State Qualifier set
The Hawaii State Junior Golf Association will hold its 2002 Junior World State Qualifier on June 13-14 at the the Hawaii Country Club for youngsters ages 7-12 and at the Makaha Valley Country Club for junior golfers ages 13-17.Qualifiers will advance to the 35th Junior World Championships in San Diego July 16-19.

Million-dollar hole-in-one contest set at Hapuna
The Hapuna Golf Course, in conjunction with its Demo Day, will hold a "One Million Dollar Hole-in-One Contest" Saturday.The Links Worldwide.com Tournament Services will also offer a $10,000 putting contest.
Both are for amateurs only, with a nominal fee.
In addition to the two contests, golfers are encouraged to chat with representatives from national equipment manufacturers, enter prize drawings, get custom-fitted for golf clubs, and compete for cash prizes. Representatives from Nike, MacGregor, Callaway, Zevo, Taylor Made, Srixon, Ping, Cobra, Body Balance, Hogan, Titleist, Cleveland and Oakley will be present to answer any questions.
