"We've granted their releases," said UH coach Vince Goo. "It's regretful, but they each have legitimate reasons for leaving the program."
Brossman, a sophomore, played in all 31 games and averaged 3.1 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. She was known for her defensive tenacity.
"I'm hoping for an opportunity to play somewhere that fits more with my strengths," Brossman said. "I'll really miss my teammates and friends I made here. It's been a great experience the last two years."
Brossman said she is considering Washington State in her hometown of Pullman and Idaho State. She hasn't made a final decision yet, but is 90 percent sure she will sign with Idaho State.
Sijercic, a junior college transfer who hails from Sarajevo, Bosnia, only saw action in nine games and plans to transfer to NCAA Division II Augusta (Ga.) State.
"My fiance is stationed in Kentucky, and I have family in Boston," said Sijercic. "I'll find it a lot easier playing on the mainland."
Wagner, a freshman wing, blossomed after replacing injured April Atuaia in the lineup for much of the Western Athletic Conference season. She was the top Wahine scorer the final 14 games with a 12.6 average.
"I enjoyed playing here and I have nothing but respect for Coach Goo," Wagner said. "But with my best friend's death this year, it's important that I play close to home near family and friends."
Wagner, from Springfield, Ore., and the Oregon high school player of the year as a senior, is making a recruiting trip to the University of Oregon today.
Goo, who signed four players during the early signing period in November to use his full complement of scholarships, now has three available for the coming season.
Recruits can sign a national letter of intent until May 15 and can sign a financial aid agreement until the first day of classes this fall.
