All but one of the eight men arrested last week in connection with the death of a Kapahulu woman have been released pending further investigation, police said yesterday.

The remaining suspect is being held on drug and gun charges in lieu of $1 million bail. He has been connected to two murders, police said.

Jason Perry, 23, was first arrested as a suspect in the Jan. 26 shooting death of Edward Fuller on Jack Lane off Pali Highway in Nuuanu.

Fuller, 40, had been found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in a case police said may have been drug-related.

On Saturday, police arrested Perry again as a suspect in Tracey Tominaga's death.

Following up on a anonymous tip, police found a shallow grave above Makakilo on Tuesday. They recovered Tominaga's body from the grave Wednesday.

The medical examiner determined that the Kapahulu woman had died of asphyxia due to suffocation and strangulation. She had been missing since Jan. 20, five days before Fuller's murder.

Homicide Lt. Bill Kato said "there may be a connection" between the two deaths.
