Mauna Kea chefs create
sugary tribute to EasterChefs of the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel have spun sugar into giant replicas of elaborate Fabergé eggs. The creations of pastry chef Ross Alaimo and baker Kevin Cabrera will be on display from Wednesday through next Sunday in the hotel's lobby as part of the resort's Easter celebration.
The hotel is hosting Easter Sunday brunch next Sunday, with a dessert table to feature chocolate bunnies, decorated eggs and other seasonal sweets. A Grand Easter Bonnet competition offers dining certificates . Cost is $44 ($22 children). Call 808-882-5810.
