Kindergarten kids sang "America the Beautiful" at the start of yesterday's celebration of Prince Kuhio's birthday at Prince Kuhio Elementary School in Moiliili. The state holiday honoring the prince is Monday.

Tom Rossi and business partner Mike Bianchi opened a new Boston's North End Pizza Bakery in Manoa Thursday with a promotion giving out free pizza slices. Brittany Arima, above, came with her mom and got a slice, while Wyatt Bolton, below, eagerly eyed his pizza.
