Senior guard Predrag Savovic accepted an invitation to play in the National Association of Basketball Coaches College All-Star game on March 29 in Atlanta, the day before the NCAA semifinals.
The NABC All-Stars play the Harlem Globetrotters at Georgia Tech's Alexander Memorial Coliseum.
"Hopefully we'll teach them some tricks," Savovic said.
Savovic, an Associated Press honorable mention All-American, was also chosen to play in the Portsmouth All-Star game. But he declined because of school conflicts.
"I need to get my grades up, I have some classes I can't miss," said Savovic, who expects to graduate May 19 with a double major of international business and finance.
Savovic is also a nominee for the Joe Kearney Award, which goes to the Western Athletic Conference's athlete of the year.
He said he hopes to be invited to the NBA pre-draft prospect camp in Chicago. That's a possibility, as Savovic's strong play to finish the season has made him an NBA prospect. The Web site NBADraft.net projects Savovic as the 46th pick, going to the Orlando Magic in the second round.
Savovic said he is also applying for law school at UH, and has taken the LSAT qualifying exam.
