Let’s do lunch

Star-Bulletin Staff

For the practical business person -- the one who'd like a nice meal in an upscale setting but has to be back in the office in a reasonable amount of time -- the Halekulani offers the Executive Luncheon at Orchids beachside restaurant.

Every two weeks, chef Daryl Fujita puts together a new menu. Order à la carte, or choose the fixed-price meal of $21 for two courses, $25 for three.

These are not soup-and-sandwich quickies, either. One recent menu included appetizer choices of Ebi Dynamite (shrimp over sushi rice) or a salad of beets and tomatoes; entree of mahimahi with black bean sauce or scallops with truffle risotto; plus dessert of apricot tart or banana mousse.

You can choose an item from each category, or any combination (two appetizers and an entree, one entree and two desserts, etc.). Call 923-2311.
