MARK LEWIS
DJ Mark Lewis spins at Wave Waikiki tomorrow for "The House the Wave Built."

A firm foundation of house

From the Ministry of Sound in England, to Logic in L.A., Mark Lewis' reputation as a DJ is along the lines of other internationally known spinners as Carl Cox and Paul Oakenfold. Chicago native Terry Mullan is a house music legend and one of the most respected names in the business. Together, they will lay down "The House the Wave Built," if only for tomorrow night.

Included will be the return of DJ Von Shock (last here for Phuture 2000 that blew up in Kakaako Waterfront Park), along with other well-known local DJs as G-Spot, Daniel J, KSM and Ryan "IKON" Galinato.

Jazz/funk groovesters Quadraphonix will be playing upstairs, and occasional guest sets by downtempo chill specialist Gaian-Mind and old school funketeer Cookie Head Jenkins.

>> Place: Wave Waikiki, 1877 Kalakaua Ave.
>> Time: 10 p.m. tomorrow
>> Admission: $10 for 21 and over; $15 for ages 18 to 20
>> Call: 591-3500
