A look at spring

Star-Bulletin staff

See you back here tomorrow when the Star-Bulletin presents "In Bloom," a peek at the trends in women's fashion, hair and makeup for spring.

Also, make plans for:

>> Neiman Marcus hosts a Spring Prom Event from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Galleria, Level 2, with a peek at dresses also suitable for bridesmaids or the swankiest parties. A Bobbi Brown makeup artist will also be performing complimentary makeovers and offering tips on spring makeup.

Then stop in for the Wedding Event from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on Levels Two and Three. Featured will be a special collection of Anne Namba bridal gowns, and there will be photographers, florists, bakers and other specialists to help with your wedding plans. Gather registry ideas in the home decor area, with its collection of silver, crystal and china. For more information, call Neiman Marcus at 951-8887.

>> For a glimpse of leather and lace, venture to Wave Waikiki March 23 when Renee Jensen-Olivera, owner of Sanctuary Salon, presents the "History of Lingerie" at midnight. The event is a celebration of Sanctuary's four-year anniversary and the extravaganza of hair, makeup and costumes will cover lingerie's genesis from Eve's fig leaf to chastity belts, chain-mail bikinis and the Victoria's Secret-inspired boudoir styles of today. Wave admission is $5 for 21 and older. Call Sanctuary at 735-4247 for more information.
