Boys

>> Eric Fong, Kamehameha golf: Carded a 6-under-par 64 in Monday's Interscholastic League of Honolulu tournament at Kalakaua Golf Course. His round helped the Warriors finish first in the team standings.

Girls

>> Glenelle Matas, Waialua basketball: The junior guard scored 34 points in the Bulldogs' 67-64 win over Kahuku in a preseason game March 8.

Honor Roll

BASEBALL

>> Geoffrey Say, Moanalua: The senior shortstop was named the most valuable player of the Kaiser preseason tournament after helping the Menehunes win the tournament championship.

BASKETBALL

>> Ashley Takata, Kalani: Scored 22 points in a 65-36 win over Maui and 18 in a 57-52 win over Maryknoll to lead the Falcons to the Radford Lady Rams Classic championship.

>> Kristen Naylor, Maui: Recorded a double-double in the Sabers' 42-41 win over Leilehua in the third-place game of the Lady Rams Classic. She scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

>> Rachel Kane, Punahou: Averaged 13 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the Buffanblu in the Fila-Lady Tiger Challenge. The junior also had eight assists and nine steals.

>> Nancy Hoist, Konawaena: The sophomore center scored 13.3 points and grabbed 5.3 rebounds per game in the Fila-Lady Tiger Challenge. She scored 18 points in a 47-44 loss to Punahou.

GOLF

>> Richard Snead, St. Louis: Finished second to Fong at Monday's ILH tournament with a round of 68.

>> Earl Medeiros, Waianae: Shot a 2-under-par 70 at Monday's Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division tournament at West Loch Golf Course.

>> Bronson Kalilikane, Mililani: Also carded a round of 70 to tie Medeiros for first at Monday's OIA tournament. His score helped the Trojans win the team competition.

>> Christian Akau, Kamehameha: Shot a 1-over-par 73 to finish first at last week's ILH tournament at Pali Golf Course and helped the Warriors top the team standings.

>> Kayla Morinaga, Sacred Hearts: Won the last two ILH girls competitions. She carded a round of 76 last week at Makaha West Golf Course and shot a 78 Monday at Leilehua Golf Course.

>> Chase Chulakote, Kailua: Shot a 4-over-par 75 to top the boys individual standings at last week's OIA Eastern Division tournament at Makaha Valley Golf Course.

>> Grant Yasui, Pearl City: Helped the Chargers win an OIA West regular season tournament at Makaha last week by shooting a 76 for first place in the individual standings.

Now You Know

>> St. Louis and Kahuku may have won the state boys and girls wrestling championships, but Mililani would take the title for winning percentage.

The Trojans' team of four boys and one girl had three wrestlers capture division titles at the state championships earlier this month -- Justin Kawamata (boys 130), Jaime Keehu (boys 140) and Debbi Sakai (girls 114).

Girls golf: May 9-10 at Hawaii Prince Golf Course.

Tennis: May 9-11 at Wailea and Makena Tennis Clubs.

Track and field: May 9 and 11 at Mililani High School.

Boys golf: May 14-15 at Leilehua Golf Course.

Girls basketball: May 14-17 at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Baseball: May 15-18 at Les Murakami Stadium.
