Auto and motorcycle enthusiasts can get up close and personal with their dream machines tomorrow through Sunday at the 2002 First Hawaiian International Auto Show.

For starters, the show features more than $1 million in exotic cars, including the $270,000 Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0, the Ferrari 550 Maranello and the new Porsche 911 Turbo. A number of 2003 models are considered "must-sees," including the all new rear-drive, V-6 powered Cadillac CTS, the newfangled Toyota Corolla and the Pontiac Vibe sport wagon.

The auto show will also feature the Chevrolet SSR "cross-over" concept roadster, which melds the breezy fun of a convertible with the utility of a pickup. A motorcycle display, with more than 25 cycles from Harley-Davidson, Buell and Kawasaki, will also be showcased.

Attendees won't be able to go for thrill rides, but may inspect, touch and sit in the show's featured vehicles. Bring a camera. It might be the only time you get to be seen behind the wheel of a Lamborghini.

Yes, these are big toys, but there are also toys within the toys, for example the XM satellite radio receiver that is supposed to pick up clear signals anywhere in the country and comes with the new Cadillac DeVille and Seville. Those vehicles also have DVD-based navigation systems.

The new Infiniti has voice-activated climate control and rear-view cameras so you can always see what's behind you.

Saturday is "Chevron Day"; the first 500 paid entries will receive a toy "Chevron car." The first 500 on Kids Day, Sunday, will receive a free LEGO gift set.
