The Rainbows broke in at No. 25 in the AP rankings announced today.
The 'Bows, winners of the Western Athletic Conference tournament for the second year in the row, received 130 points to grab the last spot in the top 25 poll. Duke garnered 58 first-place votes and 1,759 points to unseat Kansas as the No. 1 team in the nation. The Jayhawks, who lost to Oklahoma in final of the Big 12 Tournament, fell to No. 2.
Hawaii also made it into the Top 25 of the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll released yesterday.
The co-champions of the WAC is ranked No. 24 among the nation's best. Duke was voted No. 1, followed by Kansas and Oklahoma.
