pitcher of the week
Former Kalani High School pitcher Shane Komine was named Collegiate Baseball's National Pitcher of the Week yesterday.
The two-time All-American pitched eight innings against McNeese State last Friday, allowing only one hit and striking out 14 in a 9-4 win.

Bock, George nominated
Hawaii catcher Brian Bock and pitcher Chris George were nominated for the WAC's player and pitcher of the week.
Rice outfielder Chris Kolkhorst and San Jose State's Jeremy Rogelstad won the awards.
