Few tickets remain
for tonight’s UH-Tulsa game

Only 200 tickets were still available as of yesterday afternoon for tonight's Hawaii vs. Tulsa basketball game at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Fans can purchase remaining tickets only at the Stan Sheriff Box Office.

If the remaining tickets are sold, it will mark the first sellout since the 1997-98 season when Hawaii played against Fresno State in an NIT third-round game.

The parking structure is expected to fill up fast, so UH will be directing overflow traffic to upper campus parking areas. The school is also offering a free shuttle service from those areas. The shuttle will run from 5:30 to 9:45 p.m.

UH is also advising fans and other motorists to anticipate delays due to heavy traffic before and after the game.

Warriors in third place so far in Burns tourney

Hawaii is in third place out of 20 teams after the first day of the John A. Burns Intercollegiate golf tournament at Leilehua Golf Course.

The Warriors, led by Matt Kodama's 3-under-par 69, are at even-par 288, behind New Mexico at 287 and San Diego State at 274.

Hawaii-Hilo, sparked by Garrett Okamura's 1-under 71, is tied for eighth with UCLA and Colorado State at 295.

Individually, Kodama is tied for third, four strokes behind leader John Lieber of San Diego State, who shot a 7-under 65.

Hawaii's Norman-Ganin Asao and Hawaii-Hilo's Garrett Okamura both shot 1-under 71 and are tied for 10th.
