Charlotte Louise Ahrens, 72, of Honolulu, a retired library technician at the University of Hawaii-Manoa, died Thursday in Ka Punawai Ola Nursing Home. She was born in Indiana. She is survived by husband Arthur H. Jr., son Edward J. "Jim" DeMattos, daughters Marilyn M. DeMattos and Nancy A. DeMattos, mother Charlotte Farris, brother James Farris and five grandchildren. No services.

Elpidio Barry "Bear" Cabrera Jr., 51, of Honolulu, owner of Mana Trucking Co., died Wednesday at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Holly; sons Kealii and Austin; daughter Candace Fujiwara; brothers Miguel, Harry, Mario, Fred and Russell; sisters Cindy and Queenie; stepmother Virginia U. Apolonio Batallones Castillo, 74, of Waialua, a retired Hilton Hawaiian Village housekeeping employee, died Jan. 30 in Wahiawa General Hospital. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Felicitas; sons Mario, Benigno, Wilfredo, Federico and Ireneo; daughters Adoracion Lampitoc, Leticia Agustin and Josephine Digap; sisters Laureta Valencia and Rosita Ancheta; and 19 grandchildren. Antonio Torres Espinosa, 80, of Honolulu, a retired roofer at Peacock Roofing, died Feb. 10. Tony "Agaton" Pascua Guira Sr., 92, of Honolulu, died Jan. 23. He was born in the Philippines. Harry Yeijiro Yamaguchi, 85, of Pearl City, a retired taxi driver, died Feb. 7. He was born in Hilo.
