Benito "Benny" Apostadiro, 76, of Ewa Beach, a retired business agent for the International Longshoremen's and Warehousemen's Union, died Jan. 22. He was also a former state boxing commissioner. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Vicenta "Vicky"; sons Ricky, Alvin, Dexter and Barry; daughters Teresa Diaz, Geri Peralta, Charlene Richardson, Donna Artiaga, Laverne Crail, Lisa Mendes, Natty Pundyke, Mary Nagamine, Alicia Stocks, Gina Apostadiro, Tessa Apostadiro and Tracy Burridge; sisters Petra Paredes, Katherine Sabog, Josephine Munar, Claire Fontanilla and Natty Ganaban; 39 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Annine Tonyokwe Hidai, 61, of Honolulu died Tuesday. She was born in the Marshall Islands. She is survived by husband Takao; children Floyd Tonyokwe, Leroy Netwan and Lydia Anien, and Carnation, Shima, Melvin and Vinton Hidai; mother Nancy Tonyokwe; brothers Paul, Leo and Edward Tonyokwe; and 21 grandchildren. Marvin C. Howard, 93, of Honolulu, a retired employee for the National Aeronautics & Space Administration and the Federal Aviation Administration, died Thursday in Honolulu. He was born in Kansas. He is survived by daughter Leinani Leatherberry and grandson Alika Leatherberry. No services.

Ruth Misao Ikeda, 88, of Honolulu, a retired assistant manager for Tapa Room, Hilton Hawaiian Village, died Jan. 20 in the Convalescent Center of Honolulu. She was born in Waipouli, Kauai. She is survived by sisters Hinayo Lani Matsuura and Hanayo. Services: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Casual attire. No flowers.

David Un Jue Khil, 84, of Honolulu, a retired garage superintendent for the U.S. Postal Service, died Jan. 24 in Straub Medical Center. He was also a retired sales representative for Horita Realty. He was born in Paia, Maui. He is survived by wife Betty S., sons Brian and John, daughter Joan Ryugo, sister Mary Zarbaugh, half brother Harry Park and half sisters Adeline Carpenter and Ruth Kim. Hihan Kim, 65, of Mountain View, Hawaii, a retired anthurium packer, died yesterday in the Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born in South Korea. She is survived by stepdaughters Kim Chong Suk Chang and Eunsuk Lee, stepson Joh Suk Hong Kim and three stepgrandchildren. Services: 5 p.m. tomorrow at the Hilo Korean Christian Church. Kenneth Kenjiro Kono, 89, of Pearl City, a retired chemist for Libby McNeil and Brewer Chemical, died last Saturday. He was born in Honolulu. Elsie Shizue Nishioka, 86, of Mililani died Jan. 22. She was born in Waialua. Catalina "Talin" Cabida Silvania, 81, of Ewa Beach, died Jan. 23. She was born in the Philippines.
