'YEAR OF THE HORSE' EVENTS

The year 2002is the 4699th Chinese year, the year of the horse, which Chinese astrologers predict will be a very lively year. Just imagine a high-spirited stallion, running at full gallop!

Sure, January's been slow, but the lunar new year doesn't begin until Feb. 12, although Chinatown festivities start tomorrow with the annual "Night in Chinatown Festival and Parade."

Then get ready to grab the reins and hold on tight.
