Home building show features
all you’ll want in a back yard

If you had a back yard like this, you'd never want to come inside. The Dream Backyard at the 2002 BIA Home Building and Remodeling Show has everything -- almost. Impeccable tropical landscaping, gurgling waterfall and pond, top-of-the-line barbecue equipment, beverage dispenser perfect for a keg of home-brewed beer, Jacuzzi with built-in stereo, steaming hot sauna, putting green and more.

"All you need is a television set, and you can stay outside forever," said Al Lum of Viking Range Corp., who dreamed up the Dream Backyard. Theoretically at least. In reality, the Dream Backyard is a display providing ideas for outdoor living and entertaining.

The Dream Backyard is at the entrance to the show. Architects, landscapers, other experts and representatives for the products will be available to answer questions about the display throughout the show.
