Les Murakami waved to the crowd last night after speaking at the rededication of the University of Hawaii baseball stadium, now formally renamed the Les Murakami Stadium. Among those with him were his wife, Dot, left, with their grandson, and UH President Evan Dobelle, right. The UH Rainbow baseball team won the season opener last night against Florida State, 3-2. Story in Sports.

Peter Mulder of Sunrise Construction walks past the Building Industry Association's Speed House this morning. The house is being built in the Blaisdell Center parking lot and should be finished by 11:30 a.m. The house will be on display during the Homebuilding and Remodeling show, which runs through the weekend. It will then be taken to the Hawaiian Homelands lot.
