Jeremy Patton and Landon Beers scored for the OIA East Division champion Cougars. Geoffrey Say netted Moanalua's lone goal, only the second scored against Kaiser this season.
Kaiser advances to Saturday's championship game at Pearl City where it will face Mililani.
The Trojans defeated Castle 5-1 in the other semifinal match thanks to goals by Cameron Luiz, Gainor Nitta, Kevin Higaki, Justin Okawa and Jay Abrigo.
Moanalua faces Castle in Friday's third-place game at 5:15 p.m. at Kailua.
In girls action, Kailua staved off elimination by beating Kahuku 2-0 in the consolation semifinals at Castle.
Anela Gonzales and Anela Ramelb scored for the Surfriders, who will play Roosevelt in the fifth-place game Friday at Castle.
The Rough Riders got two goals each from Kellie Higa and Tobi Kanehira to down Castle 4-2.
The fifth-place winner earns the OIA's final berth in the state tournament.
Mililani hosts today's girls semifinals. Aiea faces Kalaheo at 5:15 p.m. and Mililani takes on Pearl City at 7.
