The following is a preview of a movie opening this weekend. "Preview" runs every Tuesday in the Star-Bulletin:

"Slackers" -- Jason Schwartzman ("Rushmore") plays a geeky college student who learns that three of his classmates are running a scam that earns them perfect grades without doing any homework. He decides to blackmail one of them, Dave (Devon Sawa), into helping him win the heart of the most popular girl on campus, Angela (James King). Complications arise when Dave starts falling for Angela and must decide whether to continue the scam or be with Angela (R).
