On the heels of her mother Mihana Aluli Souza's hot new "Rust on the Moon" CD, Mahina Souza is releasing a CD, "Kahala Moon," with Kahala Mossman next month. A CD of songs by the late Irmgard Farden Aluli, Mihana's mom, is in the works. Three generations of CDs. The title, "Kahala Moon," is right in sync as Mahina means moon and Mossman's first name is Kahala. Most of the songs by the young women have a light, easy beat and five of them were written by the harmonious pair. The titles of their songs give you an idea of what the two beauties think about: "Beautiful Hawaiian Boys," "Magic in Your Eyes," "Army of Love" "Bottle of Wine," and a real grabber called "It's Our Sunshine." Cool. They included one of tutu Irmgard's Hawaiian swing compositions, "Kumu Kalidadidi," a longtime favorite of mine ... Kahala Moon shines
