Saturday, January 26, 2002 The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

Aquasearch Inc. and Ceatech USA Inc., the two least-expensive stocks in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index, posted the biggest gains among fellow members over the last five trading days. Aquasearch, Ceatech hit it big
Kona-based Aquasearch, which soared 20 percent to 6 cents, is in Chapter 11 bank- ruptcy and said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it had dismissed Ernst & Young as its auditor. That firm issued reports over the past two years questioning Aquasearch's ability to stay in business.
Ceatech, which traded yesterday for just the second day this year, jumped 14.3 percent to 80 cents.
Schuler Homes Inc., whose merger with D.R. Horton Inc. is due to close Feb. 21, rose 9.2 percent to $21.47 after saying fiscal third-quarter earnings rose 28.7 percent.
Cyanotech Corp., which said losses nearly tripled, plunged 15.2 percent to $1.15.
