Aiea wins on

Aiea advanced to the quarterfinals of the Oahu Interscholastic Association boys soccer playoffs by beating Kahuku in penalty kicks yesterday at Leilehua.
The teams went through regulation time of the OIA first-round match and two overtimes without a goal. Na Alii then outscored the Red Raiders 3-1 in penalty kicks. Brett Asato, Derek Atta and Matt Itagaki connected on their kicks to give Aiea the win.
Radford also advanced by beating Kalani 1-0 at Moanalua. The Rams' Kenny Serna scored the game's lone goal.
Moanalua got goals from Neal Arakawa and Geoffrey Say to score a 2-0 win over Waianae.
In the final match of the night, Kailua beat Leilehua 2-1 thanks to a 5-1 advantage in penalty kicks.
The playoffs continue today with quarterfinal doubleheaders at Kaiser and Mililani.
Campbell, which finished second in the OIA West, faces Moanalua at 5:15 p.m. in the first game at Kaiser. OIA East champion Kaiser takes on Radford at 7. OIA East runner-up Castle plays Kailua at 5:15 at Mililani. The host Trojans face Aiea at 7.
The girls playoffs open tomorrow at Pearl City and Roosevelt.
