Musashimaru, center, or Fiamalu Penitani of Hawaii, makes a dedication to the Meiji Shrine as thousands of spectators cheered in Tokyo yesterday. Annually, the highest ranking sumo wrestlers observe the shinto ritual in prayer of blessed tournaments in the year. Accompanying Musashimaru are: sword-holder Buyuzan at left and a dew-sweeper (right) Wakanoyama.
