Ah Fong Lau Ah You, 87, of Wailuku, died Thursday at home. He was born in Wailuku. He is survived by son Melvin, daughters Linda Kawasaki and Lorraine Cabo, five grandchildren, and a great-grandson. James Kaleikaapuni Ahia Sr., 88, of Kurtistown, Hawaii, died Dec. 17 in the Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Pahoa, Hawaii. He is survived by sons James Jr., Nelson and Al Kalae; daughter Carol; sister Helen Walrath; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Irving Mitsuo Akahoshi, 81, of Laguna Woods, Calif., formerly of Honolulu, a retired self-employed jeweler, died Nov. 19 in California. He was also a veteran of World War II, 100th Battalion. He was born in Hauula, Hawaii. He is survived by son Stanley, daughters Corrine Akahoshi-Futterman and Annalee Akahoshi, brother Charles Kudo, sister Blanche Urasaki, and a granddaughter. Ethel Tam Hau Chock, 80, of Honolulu, a retired secretary for the state, died Dec. 9 in Ho-nolulu. She was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. She is survived by son Allan, brother Donald Wong, and sister Elizabeth Ching. Private services held.

Walter James "Jimmy" Chong Kee, 56, of Wailuku, died Saturday in the Maui Memorial Medical Center. Ruby E. "Kapeka" Cossey, 81, of Makaha, a retired sales clerk for Tom's Grocery, died Dec. 12. He was born in Hana, Maui. Katherine Kamakehukai Mailolo, 74, of Kapahulu, a retiree of the Ilikai Hotel, died Dec. 24 in Honolulu.
