A Shinto priest, the Rev. Daiya Amano, performed a blessing of the traditional kadomatsu, part of ceremonies to welcome in the New Year, yesterday at Ala Moana Center. Amano is with the Izumo Taishakyo Mission, near the Chinatown Cultural Plaza.
