CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU
Thousands flock to Queen's Surf Beach for the weekly "Sunset on the Beach" two nights of films by torchlight.

Sake, sushi, Daniel Ho

The music of Daniel Ho will be showcased tonight with the smooth jazz of Kilauea and the singing of Andrea Tukuafu. The La Salle room of the Pagoda restaurant is the place to be for pre-concert sake and all-you-can-eat sushi (from 6:30 to 8 p.m.), followed by the concert and dessert to top off the evening.

The dinner and show package is $75. If you have other dinner plans, it's $25 for just the concert and dessert.

For tickets, call Kenn Yuen at 599-5775 or e-mail him at kenn@danielho.com.

'Star' gazing

"Sunset on the Beach" continues today and tomorrow at Queen's Surf Beach in Waikiki with live music by local bands and deejays hosted by Extreme 104.3 beginning at 4 p.m.

Bring a lawn chair or mats to sit on the beach and picnic with friends and family while waiting for the films to begin at 6:15 p.m. Today's film is the original "Star Wars," and "Titanic" will screen tomorrow.

If you don't have time to pack a meal, there will be booths featuring food from Keoni's, Davey Jones Ribs, Pizza Hut, Seafood Village, Sorabol, Skyline Cafe, Royal Hawaiian Hot Dog and Simply Ono Popcorn.

"Sunset on the Beach" is presented every weekend by the city and county of Honolulu.
