Artist Sonchai Nisayaphantha was born in Thailand and converted to Christianity after he immigrated to Hawaii.

"I've always loved the stories in the Bible, even as a child," he said.

He drew on his religious beliefs for his drawings on display at the Queen Emma Gallery through Wednesday. The hours are 8 a.m. to noon today and Wednesday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow. Admission is free. The gallery is off the lobby at Queen's Medical Center, 1301 Punchbowl St.
