A Christmas party was held yesterday for parents and children from the Kokea Family Shelter at Queen's Medical Center. Special guest was Santa Claus, played by Richard Holmberg, who shared a quiet moment with 4-year-old Garrison Wolfgang.




SALVATION ARMY BEGINS
HOLIDAY DISTRIBUTION

The Salvation Army began distributing gifts yesterday to hundreds of needy families who applied for assistance this year. The gifts were distributed at the Salvation Army Leeward Corps in Aiea and the Kaneohe Corps. On Saturday they will be handed out at the Kauluwela Corps on Vineyard Street, and on Sunday at the Leeward Corps in Pokai Bay. Above, Ariana Young, 7, at left, helped volunteer Alex Cummings, seated, distribute toys in Kaneohe.
