New Hirono aide: Lt. Gov. Mazie Hirono's press secretary for the past three years, Wendy Coen, is leaving to move to Virginia with her husband, Navy Lt. Michael Coen.
Hirono, who is running for mayor of Honolulu, has hired Allicyn Hikida Tasaka to replace Coen.
Hikida Tasaka is on leave as executive director of the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women. She also served as a spokeswoman for Hirono earlier this year when Hirono was running for governor.
