Tennis tickets on sale

Tickets for the Hilton Waikoloa Village USTA Challenger tournament go on sale Dec. 20.

The third annual men's professional tennis tournament will be held Jan. 20 to 27 at the resort on the Big Island's west coast.

Admission is free for the qualifying matches to be held Jan. 20-21. The main draw runs from Jan. 22-27.

Tickets for those dates range from $8 to $20. Discounts are available for USTA members.

Tickets are available at 45 Ticket Plus Locations statewide and by calling (808) 526-4400. More tournament information is available at www.tesports.com.

Wheeler, Amemiya among QB Club speakers

Hawaii assistant basketball coach Jackson Wheeler headlines the list of speakers at Monday's Quarterback Club luncheon.

Also on the agenda for the meeting at the Pagoda International Ballroom are Hawaii High School Athletic Association executive secretary Keith Amemiya, Hawaii track and field coach Carmyn James and Hawaii assistant cross country coach Andy McInnis.

Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon. The public is invited to attend.
