Calling all singles
KUCD-FM (Star 101.9) is hosting an open casting call for ABC Television's new series, "The Bachelor," from 7 to 10 p.m. today at Ocean Club.Bring a recent photo and be prepared to answer questions like, "How many serious relationships have you been in?" and "What happened to end those relationships?"
The one-hour primetime reality television series will air next spring. The premise: "America's most eligible single man" -- no doubt there'll be disagreement about that! -- will have the opportunity to find his "true love," which may be one of Honolulu's bachelorettes.
If you can't make it, the search is also taking place at www.abc.com, keyword: bachelor, with a search for the eligible bachelor also.
The event is co-hosted by Telepictures Productions and Next Entertainment, and dare we ask, why do the men always get to pick?
Ocean Club is in Restaurant Row. Call 526-9888.
