STREET CLOSURES

Dec. 1-Jan. 3: Parking ban for Christmas Season, no parking towaway zones. Honolulu area: 6 a.m.-10:30 p.m. on Kapiolani Blvd., makai side; South Street to Atkinson Drive, Keeaumoku Street, both sides; Liona to Makaloa streets, Kaheka, Ewa side; and Makaloa streets to 800 Kaheka. Pearl City area: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Puu Kula Street, inner curb Nos. 808-926, Hoolaulea Street, makai side; and Waimano Home Road to Hoomalu Street.

Sunday: Brunch on the Beach Street Festival expecting 5,000 participants from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Traffic will be diverted at 2:30 a.m. for setup, closing Kalakaua Avenue and all lanes from Kaiulani to Liliuokalani avenues.

PARADES

Thursday: Kapahulu Moiliili Christmas Parade expecting 50 marchers, two vehicles and three bands. 6:30-8 p.m., starting at Kuhio Elementary School to King, Beretania, and Isenberg streets ending at Old Stadium Park. Call 836-1990.

Friday: Pauoa Christmas Parade expecting 100 marchers, 10 vehicles and two bands. 5:30-6:30 p.m. starting at Pauoa Elementary School to Pauoa Road, Kanealii Avenue, Hiilawe Street, Pauoa Road, ending at Pauoa Elementary School. Call Carol Imai 536-8648.

Saturday: Manoa Community Christmas Parade expecting 200 marchers, five vehicles, one float and two bands. 6-8 p.m., starting at Noelani School to Woodlawn Drive, Kolowalu Street, East Manoa Road, Lowrey Avenue, Manoa Road and ending at Manoa Park.

Saturday: Makakilo Kapolei Christmas Parade expecting eight vehicles and four floats. 6-8 p.m. starting at Umena and Kikaha streets to Umena Street, Kikaha Street, Makakilo Drive, Panana Street, Makakilo Drive, Nohohale Street, Palailai Street, Makakilo Drive, Farrington Highway, Papaiaulu Avenue, Oaniani Street, Kolili Street, Kowelo Street, Farrington Highway, Kealanani Street, Kumuiki Street, Kamaaha Street, Kealanani Street, Kuloa Street, Kamaaha Avenue, Kekuilani Lane, Kalau Avenue, Kamaaha Avenue and ending at Ft.
