Faxon, Simpson, Wie added to Sony Pro-Junior
Defending Sony Open champion Brad Faxon, former island resident Scott Simpson and four Hawaii State Junior Golfers will join the field in the First Hawaiian Bank's Pro-Junior Golf Challenge on Jan. 7.Previously announced PGA Tour pros Paul Azinger and Tom Lehman will compete in the event at the Waialae Country Club.
The new format matches six PGA pros with six Hawaii junior golfers. Michelle Wie, Gabriel Wilson, Jarett Hamamoto and Ayumi Hori have qualified as junior golfers.
The Pro-Junior Challenge is part of Sony Open week and replaces the Johnny Bellinger Shoot-Out, which was a competition among pros the past 14 years.

Men's volleyball tickets go on sale tomorrow
Hawaii men's volleyball season tickets go on sale tomorrow.Tickets may be purchased at the Stan Sheriff Center box office or by phone at 944-BOWS. Box office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The phone sales operate from noon to 4 p.m. tomorrow and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, thereafter.
Hawaii hosts Loyola (Ill.) on Jan. 8 to open the season.
