Santa brings holiday spirit to Kapolei
Santa and his Harley-riding motorcade roll into Kapolei Shopping Center for "Santa Saturday" fun tomorrow.The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free photos with Santa between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., compliments of the Kapolei Shopping Center merchants, plus free holiday craft activities with Seagull Schools and Hawaii Nature Center; sidewalk sales; free massages by PT Hawaii and Elam Sports Oahu; free yo-yo classes with Team High Performance; and entertainment by Vaihi, Roy Sakuma's ukulele students, Studio 808 dancers, juggler/comedian/ magician Greg Gabaylo and others.
Kapolei Shopping Center merchants and other Kapolei businesses will host hourly prize drawings, including a grand-prize drawing of a two-night stay and brunch for two at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa.
Stay for the "Christmas in Kapolei" parade, which starts at 6 p.m. at the Kapolei McDonald's, heading to Kapolei Hale via Farrington Highway and Kamokila Boulevard.

Audience goes 'Derelict'
Following Antonin Artaud's concept of "no more masterpieces," Cruel Theatre continues its presentation of one-on-one dramas with "Derelict," opening today at the American Dream Cafe, 1201 Kona St.Audience members will be given a costume piece and a name card and will be led through the streets to experience the fallout of America's war on drugs as viewed from the perspective of people who live on the streets.

Cruel Theatre places the audience members in the story so that each participant has the potential to change the course of the show in becoming a protagonist rather than sitting back and watching, though no one will be forced to act.Hour-long performances begin every 30 minutes from 7 p.m. with the last performance at 10 p.m. today, tomorrow and Dec. 13-16 at American Dream Cafe, 1201 Kona St. Tickets: $12 general this weekend; $10 general and $7 for students next weekend.
